Homeopathic medicine is based on a principle dating from classical Greek medicine. In its "modern" form it has been around for about 200 years when it was developed by a well known and respected German doctor - Samuel Hahnemann. He noticed that quinine, used to treat malaria, could also produce malarial symptoms when taken by someone who didn't have malaria! (We now know this to be true of a number of medicines used conventionally.)

Hahnemann then found that quinine, when used in minute quantities on someone suffering from those same symptoms, could be more effective and safer than when used in the usual quantities. He went on to experiment with and develop a wide range of substances - mineral, herbal etc - for use in this way. Homeopaths today are continually developing new remedies.
Homeopathic medicines have no side effects and you cannot become addicted to them. They can be used alongside conventional medicine.
They work by stimulating the body's own, very considerable, healing powers.
"Aim to restore health gently and permanently, according to comprehensible principles in the shortest and safest manner." Hahnemann
