Homeopathy

One of the safest forms of medicine in existence. Suitable for pregnancy and babies through to old age. Safe to use alongside conventional medication. Non-addictive; no side effects; not tested on animals!

In recent a recent study of 6000 consecutive patients attending Bristol Homeopathic Hospital with chronic illness, 70% experienced improvement in their symptoms. In another study a significant number visited their GP less often and reduced or stopped their conventional medication.

Homeopathy treats the individual aiming to stimulate the body's own, very considerable, healing powers.

Homeopathic medicine is based on a principle dating from classical Greek medicine. In its "modern" form it has been around for about 200 years when it was developed by a well known and respected German doctor - Samuel Hahnemann. He noticed that quinine, used to treat malaria, could also produce malarial symptoms when taken by someone who didn't have malaria! (We now know this to be true of a number of medicines used conventionally.)

HahnemannHahnemann then found that quinine, when used in minute quantities on someone suffering from those same symptoms, could be more effective and safer than when used in the usual quantities. He went on to experiment with and develop a wide range of substances - mineral, herbal etc - for use in this way. Homeopaths today are continually developing new remedies.
