Neil is a registered member of the Craniosacral Therapy Association.
Before training in Cranioscral Therapy he trained in Sports and Remedial Massage, taking a special interest in treating people with muscular and joint pain. He is still able to offer massage and sports therapy treatments if required.
In a craniosacral therapy session, the treatment can be carried out through the patient's clothing. You will normally lie on a treatment table. You may experience a sense of pleasant relaxation as the therapy is working.
Many clients say they feel a state of deep relaxation and find that, in time, the treatments leave them physically and emotionally stronger.
Please contact Neil for more information or to book an appointment.
The therapy can be used to help with a wide range of problems. These include:
Craniosacral therapy can be used to treat many of the musculo-skeletal problems that would normally be treated by deep massage or manipulation but in a gentler way, giving long lasting results.

What is Remedial Massage?
Remedial massage is used to treat muscular and joint related problems. It is different from “holistic” or general massage because it is aimed at treating specific physical problems and is direct and precise. Massage used in this way can be an effective way of treating pain, stiffness and poor mobility. It can help to bring about lasting improvement to many physical problems.
What Can Remedial Massage Help?
Remedial massage can be used to help with a wide range of conditions including:
It can be used to help recovery from injuries. It can also help with longstanding complaints such as some forms of arthritis. Treatments are generally found to be relaxing and pain free. Remedial massage can be used effectively to treat young and old.
What is included in a treatment?
A session would start with a discussion of the nature of the complaint and its history. An assessment would be made to reveal the muscle groups which would require attention. This would include some gentle tests of the muscles and joints. The massage treatment would then be centred around the affected area. It would include a variety of massage techniques, gentle stretches and mobilising movements. After the treatment, advice on suitable exercises which would help the complaint would be given, together with any other suitable self-help suggestions.
How Many Treatments Are Required?
Good progress can often be made in just a few sessions. However this will depend on the particular problem and some estimate of the number of sessions can be given at the first meeting.
Massage for Wellbeing
I can also offer general massage sessions for physical wellbeing. Used this way, massage can be a general preventative measure, maintaining mobility and suppleness. It is ideal for sports and fitness enthusiasts and is helpful for those with busy or stressful working lives.
